At the initiative of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, on March 11, 2024, civil society organizations working in the field of human rights such as the Department of Water, Climate and Environmental Analysis, Bogd Khan Mountain Nature Reserve, and MECC held a discussion with the participation of human rights defenders.
Opening the discussion, S. Dondov, a member of the Commission in charge of human rights defenders, asked to freely exchange opinions on the current situation of human rights defenders, the difficulties and risks they face, and ways to overcome them.
The recommendations from the discussion will be included in the 23rd report on human rights and freedom in Mongolia, which will be submitted to the Parliament, in the chapter “Implementation of the right to protect human rights by civil society and environmental organizations
